Brief

New packaging design contest on Desall.com. The company invites you to design new packaging experience solutions dedicated to their Pesto sauce for the US market.

Use&ReUse

This project is based on the concepts of: tradition, Italy, quality and handmade.

The iconic shape of the jar recalls that of the mortar, an object of the Ligurian tradition for cooking pesto. There are four protrusions called “ears” that facilitate the user during the opening phase.

The Redacia paper label is designed so as not to use glues and thus facilitate the division and disposal of the various components.
On the back, there is the information on the reuse of the pack. A reuse that involves planting the label, which can be placed in its own pot once the pesto is finished and gives life to a basil seedling.
