The Porte Palatine are ancient, dating back to the First Century BC, even before the actual walls that surrounded the city were built.
It says a lot about Turin and its inhabitants that the gates were built before the walls…

Today, the city has grown so much that passing through the gates no longer has any meaning. The inside and the outside have merged, ours and theirs, the center and the outskirts, the native and the foreigner – all part of the mosaic of countless differences and complexities that make up Turin.

MOSAIC

I can definitely say that a part of me stayed in this city, in this neighborhood.

The Porte Palatine in Turin have a changing color, varying with the time of day. Plus, I wanted to convey their historical significance, being built in the 1st century. I looked into the artistic techniques used back then and found the mosaics.
